Appreciated the daylight before 7 this morning. Another couple weeks of dark mornings and it will catch up again.... what's the consensus on why we keep doing this. My farming relatives are adamant it cannot be layed at their feet.

I prefer DST with sunlight later into the evening. Nights seem so long in winter when on standard time and darkness starts at 530pm

From the poll I saw this morning, it was almost split on which time people wanted (DST vs Standard time). Looks like they won't be changing anything. I say split the difference 30 minutes and stop changing the time.

I have woken up at 0300 every morning all my life, so DST is irrelevant to me. Pick which way and leave it the heck alone. Don't use the farmers as an excuse. I have the utmost respect for farmers and ranchers. I was exposed to farming and ranching at an early age, and I quickly determined that it was not for me. Farmers and ranchers are hard chargers and will do what is required to maintain/sustain their livelihood. I am unsure if this is the norm, but we followed this stupid rule when I was stationed overseas.

Colorado voted to go to permanent DST but has been waiting for something to happen with the federal government, maybe it'll get pushed to let the states do what their citizens want, besides why should we be forced to use Greenwich, England as the start point instead of one hour east of there.
