Who started/pioneered the first tipped lead-free bullets? There are quite a few now, and I expect more to follow.

Not sure of the lead free bullets but polymer tip bullets go back to at least the mid 60's

I believe Barnes stated with lead free in about 1989. I started using them in 1994. Have no knowledge of lead free before then.

I want to say Barnes. The TTSX came out quite a while ago. Of course, there very well may have been a boutique builder out there somewhere offering some.
