Today was the first day at the range for my new Tikka CRT .260 Remington. I have a Sightron III 6x24x50 on it, bought used from a good member on this forum. I will say up front I am happy with it. I reloaded some Lapua virgin brass with Accurate 4350 (what I had) and 3 bullet types (123 Amax, 140 Amax, and 130 Accubond).

Both 123 and 140 Amax did great, all being pretty consistent. The 130 Accubond did just OK, will need tinker more there and maybe try another hunting bullet.

I only chrony'd the 123s at only 42.5gr and got around 2650fps, next time i'll chrony more.

All groups were 3 shots at 100yds, best were:
3/8" with 43.5gr AA4350 and 123 Amax
5/16 with 42.5gr AA4350 and 140 Amax
7/16 with 43.5gr AA 4350 and 130 Accubond

I had hoped the Accubonds would shoot a bit better for pure hunting, so maybe will tinker with that 43.5 gr load or go another step higher. I didn't see pressure signs on any really so will try a bump up on powder as I think I have room for more velocity. I'll only neck size so might be a smidge extra case volume next time.

Overall I'm very happy!

getting better. still using AA4350. here is 130 Accubond at 43.5g and 2.87 OAL. gun seems to prefer this OAL with this bullet, tried a few other loads and oal. this will be my deer round this fall

the 123 Amax seems to consistently shoot tight in various loads. 2.855 Oal, 43.3gr. AA4350 is below. Have loaded 30 of these and will see how consistent they are and velocities next visit to the range. I am not fully expecting this below to be the norm, but one can hope
