I put together a Tikka with a 24" Proof Research prefit in 7 SAUM. I did a few ladder tests and got less than desirable results, I think I need to bed my action. I loaded everything ~.020 off the lands and did a workup. I also allowed my barrel to cool off between strings, my first round cold bore is crazy high for some reason. I also tried Reloader 26 but I got some inconsistencies, I was using pulled bullets and brass that I had partially resized after pulls so that may of been the issue.

2.990 COAL
Norma twice fired brass
205m
175 Berger Elites

106 yards

62.5 h1000 seems just fine
What trigger is in it.
How many rounds, I am assuming new?, it will speed up with more rounds down it.
Whats not to like about 2,3,4?

Nice looking rifle. May I ask what the original Tikka action was chambered in and if you had to do work to fit the 7 SAUM in.

I am thinking about going the same path and maybe start off with a 7RemMag Tikka.

Try bedding the action and/or different seating depths but not to scare you I had a proof barrel shoot like s*** on my rifle And we literally did everything under the sun to get it to settle and never did ONLY thing we did different after all the experimenting was put a bartlein barrel on it and problem solved

It was a 7remMag, the factory magazine is what I'm using and it feeds flawlessly.

I'm hoping that it tightens up after bedding.

And FWIW my smith thinks proof carbons are luck of the draw and has had barrel come in with enough runout he was worried about sticking the reamer in it

175 berger elite,
Factory trigger with a yo Dave trigger spring,
Exactly 100 rounds down the barrel as of now, I only have 50 pieces of brass

If it was me I'd do a good clean then shoot 7-10
Foulers and load 62.5 h1000 and see if it groups right there.
I'm inclined to agree with you but I was really hoping for at least 2900 from whatever load I use.
