As some of you know I built a 378 Weatherby Improved for my son Zayne. We called it the 375 Zayne. This gun was truly a success and the best part is he had no idea I was doing this for him.
Now it’s my daughters turn. I’m going to build her a 340 Weatherby Improved. In essence it will be a smaller Zayne but just as potent. I’m just finishing the reamer drawing now and Dave Manson will build the reamer.
I wanted a way to honor all my children and give them something that means so much more than money. 1 of 1 rifles that bear thier names seem to be a perfect combination.
The same build team as the 375 Zayne will do thier parts in the 340 Zaylea Ann.

Very nice idea. I like it! The nice thing is it could become a family heirloom.

Exactly the plan. Each one of the Z’s will get one.

Lilja straight taper. Exactly the same barrel Zayne’s rifle has. The hardest and longest part is the stock. I do that myself with the help of Joel Russo. Rifle should weigh between 10-14 lbs when finished.

Sounds interesting Z.. I'm needing another heirloom rifle for my boys. I've already got a win m95 high grade in 405 for them to fight over, but I need one more.

We’ve known each other for along time...it would only be right if one of them got a 7 stw.

I've only got two rh mag remmy actions and both shoot... I might need to build a older m70 action or similar...
