Curious as to what a used pair of Swaro EL's are worth. My hunting partner is considering getting a pair of EL range, rangefinding bino's and wants to sell me his his EL's.

They are in pristine condition, he's anal about his equipment. I think they are 2 years old.

Any idea what I should offer him?

I'm in the dark on worth. Any input would be appreciated.

Depends on if they are Swarovision or not. 2 years old I think would would be SV but I could be wrong. If they are SV anywhere between 1400-1800. Non SV 1200-1500. I'm just guessing off of watching the used market/ eBay and buying and selling a few pairs.

We were in Montana hunting and he mentioned that he was going to get a pair of EL range. I asked him if his EL's were for sale and offered him a grand which I think he'll take. I think they are Swarovision whatever that is....

I've looked through them and they are wonderfully clear compared to my Leupy's.

I can haggle a bit, I just happen to build all his hunting loads....lol

Sounds like a grand is right on.....

If they are Swarovision and you get them for a grand you got a fantastic deal. Even pre SV (swarobright) for a grand is a great deal. .

Thanks for the input. A grand is doable in as much as we are friends / hunting buds.

I imagine I'll get to fiddle with the EL Range bino's too.

he was looking at the Geovids but settled on the EL Range. he's like me, less buttons equals simpler operation.

I'll have to get collapsable side shields for them from Schnees.

Well hell if you are buddies $1800 then!

I'm going to have to send them to Swarovski for service anyway. The twist up eye cup on the right side has come loose. No biggie I imagine. It should index in a fast helix milled into the eyepiece but it has come apart.

Just got to save my pennies up.....

Now I have to get a spotter. Probably a Vortex Razor. This LR stuff is getting expensive.....lol
