New to the forum and to Suppressors. I have done quite a bit of gun work and have all the machinery I need and live in a very remote part of Montana and see more animals than people. I've been thinking of a suppressor for awhile now and have been reading up a lot on them. Are there any books or info. out there on baffle design.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Look it up on the internet. There are hundreds of designs. If you are going to make your own-think of the ATF and regulations. Not sure that you will ever be checked up on and would not post it anywhere if making one or looking to make one. EYES are everywhere!!!

I've been looking a bit but have not found what I am looking for, I also play by the rules.....I am currently filling out the paperwork for atf to make one and pay the tax...but I'm going slow because I see the Pres. may make it possible not to pay the tax etc. etc.

Mike Welcome to LRH.
I doubt that the ATF will give up the TAX Stamp or FFL License MONEY$$$$ They make hundreds of Millions $$$$

You are more than likely right but I will hold out just a bit longer before I submit my money and the paperwork.

The picture was one I just took out my kitchen window.

Be very careful with this approach. ATF has been very wishy washy on personal made suppressors.

Welcome to LRH, and enjoy! It is always nice to see a fellow Montanan join in the fun. At this point, heed what @Mike D Texas said.

I opted to support small businesses and made-in-Montana products and went with Eliteiron and Rex Silentium suppressors. I know Eliteiron has some videos on YouTube showing the assembly of their baffles, but I'm not sure of Rex Silentium. Perhaps you can tour their facilities to get a general idea. They are excellent suppressors for the money, and I am very pleased with them. I have 2 Eliteiron and 1 Rex Silentium thus far. Another Montana member is trying to establish his own line of suppressors, too. Good luck!
