Has anyone tried the 20x80 steiners for long range (tripod mounted) glassing? I have zeiss 10x56's, but thought these might be good for the long glassing.

Re: steiner bino\'s

Ive not used the BIG etsiners but ive ues the 7x50 military binos for years and the 7x50 night hunters. Excellent Quality at a fair price. Tough as old boots, as clear as day. If you don't want a range finder built in to the binos (which is why i changed to the Leica Geovid BRF) then Steiner ar probably the best buy on the market, Excellent customer service also.

Re: steiner bino\'s

My son bought a pair last year and loves them. I had a chance to use them a few months ago at a target range and was impressed that they could see 17 caliber holes at 100 yards and 22 caliber holes at 200 yards. I thought that was impressive for 20X because a lot of spotting scopes can't do that.
