Setting up a scope square?

Another vote for the wheeler upgraded version. I believe it is called the professional model. The first version worked on a limited number of firearms.

Interesting. I use a Starrett machinist level placed across the lower half of the scope mount to square the stick in a rifle jig. Then I lay the scope in the lapped lowers, set the top half on, set the level on the top of the elevation turret and level the scope then secure it. Been doing that for years with excellent results. Takes about 3 minutes.

For sure that works
Did something similar for 35 years
The inexpensive Wheeler system (gen 2) allows you to do it for friends on the kitchen counter in an MTM cleaning rig while your buddy BBQ's moose or elk steaks.

Okay.....but my lovely wife said no more strippers....the OTHER wives are not comfortable with that
