HI,
Still new at this and trying to figure out how to best do this. loading 28 nosler, 175 Nos ablr , 77.5 gn H1000, fed 215. I started work up shooting 3 shot groups, .010 off lands but only went up to .050 off. I found good group a .015, but the best was at .040 (attached below) at 100 yrds. I reloaded 10 for 2 5 shot groups after 7 shots at 565yrds (attached below) I pulled back to 100 just to reconfirm somthing was not a miss. I have loaded more up to the .075 to see if it can adjust in at 500yrds. suggestions to tune this would be very helpful to help me figure this out.
Thanks

I don't have much faith in your powder charge actually after seeing your 565 group and the vertical dispersion. What increments did you do on the seating? 0.010"? Can you elaborate on your powder charge determination? Or is your pic of the 565 target turned sideways?

Stuff them deep. Really deep, as in try the Nosler load data book COL of 3.340".

Nosler used to put a disclaimer on these bullets when sold to reloaders saying to jump this particular bullet a lot, that seating out long wouldn't give great results.

In my personal experience with 300 RUM the best groups were at 0.072" off the lands, which worked out to Nosler's book COL. I went all the way to 0.125" off and everything deeper was better than long. Groups kept shrinking.

might have to go to COL. don't. Have much after .075 using CBTO.

I'm shooting the 150gr ABLR @ 0.020" off the lands in 3 different rifles.

Savage 111 in 7mm Rem Mag get me 5 rounds under 1" at 100 yards.
Shot 3 at 600 yards into a 1.5" group. Last 3 rounds I had on me that day, and I haven't tried it again since!! :D
Was just happy I had other people at the range that day to witness it. Just don't know who the people were. Lol

Not sure where the finiky part came from!
