It's due to the barrel harmonics and the direction the muzzle is pointed when the bullet exits the barrel.
Also, point of aim affects point of impact.

ah interesting point, i had the targets on different back boards 15' apart left to right..

Hey, not sure if this is exactly correct, but here's how I see it. The faster bullet gets out of the barrel quicker so there is less muzzle rise, the bullet hits lower. I know that there are other factors in there too, but that seem to be pretty consistent for me

Barrels vibrant like a tuning fork when fired, that's where accuracy node come in. Hit the right vibration spot consistently, good group.
Different barrel timing and harmonics created by different pressure curve. You can see all kinds of shifts in point of impact when you change anything that changes pressure and harmonics.
