Scope mounting

Need some advice for scope mounting on an sig cross. After adjusting my length of pull and finding where the scope picture is best, I'm trying to mount my toric 1" x42mm scope with Medium Warne rings. There's the smallest gap where the back of the scope almost touches basically a playing cards size. Should I get high rings or stick with medium?

I assume the knob on the power ring isn't an issue ?

If my cheek weld was good I'd run it like it is, there's no reason for taller rings for me. But you might want to check for a clean case ejection, you don't want the cases hitting the bottom of the scope or the windage turret and falling back onto the action.
