Wondering if anyone out there has purchased one of these and used it enough to come to a conclusive decision on it's worth, as a light weight
scout type rifle?
Sure looks like it would be great little rifle with an aimpoint on it. Chambered in .308 naturally.

lowprone,
I haven't shot or owned one of the "Frontier's", I did purchase a Ruger Compact a few years back for my son. Appears to be pretty much the same rifle except the Compacts integral mounts are on the receiver vice barrel.
I got rid of that rifle. I couldn't get it to shoot under 1" no matter what component I tried. Looked more like a shotgun pattern than a rifle group! Accuracy usually ran about 1.5-2.0" @ 100yds. I traded it, a small .380 pistol and $100 to boot for a Rem M700 Mtn rifle. It shot sub-.5" with the right combo! Both rifle were chambered for .260Rem. JohnnyK.
