I need a little input from you guys toying around with the idea to purchase a 10mm revolver any input would be appreciated I have my own FFL so have access to a few wholesaler's

Without knowing your budget, I'd try to get a Freedom Arms if they'll make one in 10mm. I have a 454 casull from them but also have a 45acp cylinder I swap when shooting for practice. It's really fun taking to the range.
I just heard that Ruger is making one on it's GP 100 frame . Looks interesting. Also been told that Smith makes the 610 in 10MM , this would be my first choice. Been a Smith guy since the mid 70's. Only saw 1 bad one in that time. Let us know what you decide on and the quality of what you get. You will need moon clips or half moon clips. My 45 ACP Smith will shoot fine without them , but you need to have a pencil handy to punch out the empties.
Is that an L frame or N frame?

The Ruger will be a battle tank tough pistol. Replace the front sight with a Beade sight, the rear sight with a V notch, and you can get a very fine hold. Next, re-spring the trigger.
The Smith is a much lighter pistol than the Ruger, but the sights suck, more for self-defense than a longer-range hunting pistol.
If you have never shot a revolver with a bead front sight and a V-notch rear sight, you are in for a real treat.
I had a Smith in the 90s I hunted coyotes and Javelina with, but my GP100 in 357 Mag would outshoot the 610 due to the sights, and the Re sprung ruger trigger was better than the Smith trigger. 50-75 yards is no big deal with a bead sight, and is a real confidence builder.
The 10 mm likes to run hard, and if you shoot a lot, the Ruger WILL NOT rattle apart.
Accuracy and shootability trump all, so you have to make up your mind what works best for you.

I would think if you use the moon clips you should be able to fire .40 SW as well. Just don't put them in without the moon clips. The clips are kind of a pain, but they are really handy for a quick reload. They make a tool that helps load the moon clips. Never tried one. I have a ton of half moon clips for my .45 . I really love that gun!

If you have a semi-auto as a companion to your revolver it not a bad idea. Getting a 10 mm revolver really not a very good idea it a odd ball and not very popular, so resale is very low. Plus you need to use moon-clips being its a rimless cartridge. Getting a rimmed cartridge is a much better choice for a revolver.

I don't know if you are heart set on 10mm but if you are looking for a .40 caliber revolver I would go with a 41 Remington magnum. I have a ton of experience with a Smith & Wesson model 57 and love it. My son has a Ruger Bisley in the caliber and also loves it. My choice would be based on single action or double action. Rimmed cartridge in a revolver is a better choice IMHO.
