Maybe you can find something about Revolver Sights by reviewing/researching "Jerry Miculek". He holds hundreds of records for Speed Shooting and Distance with both Revolvers and Semi Auto (1911s). We hope that you find the Sights that you like and work for you. I know that when Jill and I did a lot of Pistol shooting. We mainly shot 1911s in .45 & 9mm with Fast Fire sights and S&W 29s & 19s with factory Target iron sights from 5 yds to 100 yds. We had s BLAST at least 1K rounds month.

Of course it’s Jerry Miculek. Of course it’s 1000 yards. Ridiculous. Amazing. This is what a lifetime of practice and training gets you: superhuman abilities. I couldn’t make that hit in 2 shots with a rifle from a bipod, and Jerry just whacks it with a wheelgun carrying an itty bitty red dot.

Ha yep,think last video watchD of J. Miculek, he broke out a brand spankN new S&W X-Frame 350 Legend revolver and put a little red dot sight on a Weaver base. Then he's using that revolver with a 7.5 inch power-port barrel', 7-shot Moon clip, 170 grain Hornady's bullets going 1,640fps.Off the bench he shot those 170gr slugs into a deer worthy, 1-3/4 inch group at 100 yards , not bad , and by god , he's nearly 70 yrs old.

I'll have to measure the widths on mine. I kinda like the undercut design on that one.

I saw that someplace still sells those Dan Wesson sights. They originally came in 3 heights and 2 widths. They also had the rear sight blade in 2 widths. They are both relatively easy to swap out.

10"-24" would like to be able to hit the 10" gong somewhat regularly.

From creedmoor position a IHMSA chicken at 200 meters is not hard to hit. If you plan to shoot them standing on your hind legs and shooting expect the miss ratio to increse.

This is one of our S&W 29s in our collection (Dirty Harry). Have not shot this one. It is unfired and NIB with Paperwork. It is a S&W Model 29-2. It is 99.5% has a slight mark from people cocking and cylinder turning. I don't let anyone handle it anymore.
Have a 29-4 with 6" MagaPort that I mostly shoot, but not past 100 yds, Would be interested in Sights for a model 29.

As others have stated, an undercut/Patridge type sight is the hot ticket. Hoods and sight black/soot gives a flat and consistent view under a variety of lighting conditions.

You'd be surprised at what varying lighting conditions will do to your poi with a plain ramp front sight.

Is there any particular brand or company to buy from you'd recommend for those?

Not for smiths specifically. I have ISGW rear sights and freedom arms' front sight on my silhouette revolvers. I'm sure someone makes similar sights for smiths.

I'm sure you can order the smith pateridge sight from Brownells. Just measure the height of your current sight. Order the same height.
