Rebarreling my Remington 721

Simple question to the right person. Do Remington 700 barrels fit on the 721 action? I'm concidering a caliber change on my pet 721. Thanks

Rem 721 preceded the 700. For rifle smith purposes they are the same.

I had a 270 Allen Magnum barrel fitted to mine. It was an '06.

Yes, the only real difference is the safety.

I just built on a 721 action. Modified it for a 700 trigger/safety. Added a 700 bolt, Sendero/PSS stock, Criterion barrel, and PTG stealth bottom metal.
