I have the Sig Kilo, ran the 2200 BDX for a bit and now the 5K. IMO the sigs are tough to beat, especially considering value for $. Fast, reliable and the integration with Basemap is kind of cool. As mentioned above, solid integration with Kestrel, their BDX line of scopes if you are in to that, your phone, etc. Their ballistic calculator is solid too.

Keep in mind actual field conditions, game and natural surfaces is less than the rated capability. I'd go overboard on distance to get more solid actual field/weather condition distances. My 2200 will hit over 3k yds with clear conditions metal reflective building, maybe 1/4 that in actual use reliably. The 5k will go cross canyon pretty reliably. My hunting buddy still runs the 2200 and last year there were quite a few instances where the 5k punched through where the 2200 was spotty or wouldn't catch it.

I use the 2200 maybe I should check out the 5k although the need to go that far is seldom.

I restarted the thread. So Thank you. Leaning toward the Revic Binos but looking for some positive feedback. James at Barbourcreek suggested them. I am sure that comes with solid backing.

it looks like all these entry level range finding binos have killed the solo range finder market, probably get a good Leica for a steal. not as cheap as a lab Rader but probably a real good price.
having a little pocket sized rangefinder that will give you your correction is handy but they're all on sale for a reason, once you go lrf bino it's hard to go back

I have the sig system, kilo 6 and the bdx scope. I'm actually super impressed at the usability and functionality. I have several profiles that are perfect to the 600-800 yard range. I don't think I've ever changed the battery in either the binos or the scope. I got the setup in trade. The "smart scope" thing didn't really interest me, until I used it, and again I'm impressed.

The ballistic software embedded in the binos is very good. BUT, I've yet to be able to update the firmware and sig doesn't seem to be supporting their system in any meaningful way.

If I had to use my money, I certainly wouldn't have purchased the sig system. But having used it I do like it.

The quality of the kilo6 binos is high. But the customer service is trash. If the binos ever stop working, they'll be paperweights for sure.

I've had the complete opposite experience with regards to being able to update and customer service has been excellent when needed which was only once. My Sigs Bino RFs work excellent as does my separate Sig RF.

So you were able to download the firmware update and apply it to the binos?

Yes. I do not have an Sig scope that works in combination with the RF though. I have a 5k RF and I also have the same RF binos you do.

I actually just went and got it out of my safe and turned it on and paired it. It states New firmware update available, would you like to update? Did the update and like I've done many times and updated in less than a minute. I believe you have to use WiFi to update firmware.
