Question on cleaning your rifle barrel

As a police armor and firearms instructor, We used slugs to qualify officers with shotguns. The plastic wads in some brands of slugs would make a mess of the bore. We found Remington Bore Cleaner and an electric drill with a slotted rod wrapped with steel wool in a 4 inch section was an easy way to clean the bore. Apply the bore cleaner let the barrel soak about 5 minutes then run the steel wool the barrel cleaned up quick and shiny.
In any rifled barrel I want only lineal cleaning, Rotational cleaning could damage the edges of the rifling of the barrel and affect the barrel. You may get away with a few cleanings with rotary motion but it over time and use could damage the barrl.

I use bore tech and push a patch one way . Let it sit a few minutes and repeat. Then push patches until I don't see fouling.
