Votes are in and I agree, FDE it is. I love OD green, but that Sako Green is a bit bright for me. I like the gray as well, but this is a hunting rifle. If it were a bench rifle, I would go with gray.

Well, all components ordered. All with a nice military discount. KRG Bravo stock in FDE. EVO II Rem 700 receiver. Trigger Tech Rem 700 Primary. Arken EPL4 6-24X50 scope, their lighter weight hunter model, but also have a Leupold VX-Freedom 6-18x40 on the way, just in case. The Leupold would shave off about half a pound.

I need to call KRG to see what their military discount is. I got a really great deal on a used LA. But I might need a SA is the future.

I think any of the colors will work especially if you're going to paint over it. It's surprising there's a lot of grey out here in the west. I think grey would work well in urban settings too. FDE is a good color also. I got green because I got a smoking deal on it and a mag.
