So here is question to members , how many US hunters want mostly trophies compared to just "harvest" hunting?

Back ground to the nature of the question:

If this African hunter was to go hunt in the USA I would not really care about the trophy, but rather the experience around hunt. The location, people and cabin talk.
(Not that I say one should go juvenile)

Agreed. If I need more sporting with some animals I try to target a particular mature one or change up the method of take

Thanks

For me where Africa does a better job is the requirements to become a ph. Age class and trophy quality mean something here it is my perception as a whole that it's about harvest. How many people do you see go on a guided elk hunt for oppertunity to shoot a 2-4 year old rag horn bull thousands of dollars. We leave for RSA on Mother's Day in 2027 and can't wait for the experience of the food which I believe you would have to look very hard in the US to find an outfit that offers a similar experience. Being on a couple guided hunts in the states it wasn't even close to what those state hunting RSA is as far as camp environment food ect. Just my .01 cents and that's all it's worth.

I see that you have a duplicate thread. I responded to the first one, https://www.longrangehunting.com/threads/please-help-this-african-hunter-trophy-or-meat-hunt.406515/
