Please explain “your” understanding of cold bore

I'm convinced some people suffer from Cold Shooter Syndrome rather than a cold bore.
This. I bet 80% of "cold bore flyers" is much more attributed to "cold shooter".

As for "cold bore", in my opinion, it is any shot from an ambient temperature barrel.

Here is a set of 3 individually fired shots over the span of 2.5 hours @ 200 yards. L-R Wind grew slightly over the morning. I would consider these all "cold bore" shots. But not "cold shooter". 6.5SS pushing a 150 SMK @ 3114fps.

This is my 7RM shooting 180 Hybrids @ 2996fps @ 100 yards.
This was a "cold bore, cold shooter" shot.

Then, 3 shots on a separate target immediately following the cold bore.

As for needing to make long range "cold bore, cold shooter" shots over 1000 yards....if a coyote shows up, I feel the need to make these shots. I have done it a couple times. 1327 & 1365 yards. A couple 600+ yard "cold bore, cold shooter" shots on big game too.

"Clean, cold bore" is another beast.

The first shot from a seasoned(not a clean-bore shot) barrel that has stabilized to ambient conditions.
