My 30-06 shoots factory 165 grain Norma oryx at MOA to 300 yards. Any experience with this bullet on elk?

I have some Oryx too but I have never tried them?
I would like to hear your thoughts also. Mine are 156 Gr. 6.5 X284 and
I worried my 8 twist might be too slow?

Never took an elk with them, bit I used 180's in a .308 for a while. Bought some loaded ammo for the brass (Norma brass is $2/per in Canada and I found loaded ammo for $1.50ea). Performed admirably on a couple of deer and a moose. Much like a Hornaday Interbond - fast expansion, big frontal diameter, holds together really well.

Great choice if you're planning on keeping it inside 300, but I'm betting it starts to drop off pretty fast after that due to the low BC.

Excellent performance and accuracy. I shot a cow using Norma 270WSM ammo with 150gn Oryx, double lung at close range and it expanded well. I wish they could make this and the Partition as boat tails.
