Have never owned an NXS scope. I recently picked up like new Cooper Phoenix 6.5x47L and plan on just using the rifle for plinking and practicing LR shooting.

I have about $1,600 stored in Cabelas points/gift cards that I'd like to use on a scope for this rifle.

I want a SFP MOA optic.

I think I'd like this NXS 8-32x56 as it checks all the boxes for me and it would be minimal out of pocket $$ for me after using gift cards/cabelas bucks.

Who has used one of these? Any input?
Any other scopes to consider in that price range? (From Cabelas)

My go to for long range steel and prairie dogs. It can be a lot of scope for general hunting under 250 yards. The 8x native zoom takes a lot of practice catching a moving critter at 100 yards. Trust me I know. But if you're gonna send it 1000 yards+ I have no issue keeping it at 30x zoom with no blurring. Hot and humid mirage days I drop it back a bit. But that tells you quality of glass.

If I shoot at 10-200 yards it will be target. No intentions of hunting with this rig.

No input for the NXS. But for a target only rifle, I like my Vortex Golden Eagle 15-60x52. And less than $1600.

I went back to a 2 x 8 duplex scopes for under 600yds. P dogs and ground squirrels is a different story.

I have this scope on my LR rig , I like it . I use it on 32 power often . my only complaint is , it could use more internal elevation , if I remember right it has 65 moa total .

I have 3 Nightforce nxs scopes and I would suggest the MOART for you're use as the standard MOAR are a bit on the coarse side here are two pics first one MOAR the second one MOART.
Both images are at 1026 yards

You simply cant go wrong with an NXS I've been behind quite a few of them

if you can, get the MOAR-T same reticle but thinner ... you'll like it better..

Night force discontinued their best reticle .. the NPR-1

Or save up and get the cadi of bench scopes the Kahles 10-50

The description states 100 moa elevation adjustment and 60 moa windage adjustment.

Being I want to use Cabelas bucks to purchase the scope, I am limited to what they have. They don't offer the MOAR-T retical in either the NXS 8-32x56 or the ATAC-R in 5-25x56 (which I also now started to look at).

I don't have any trouble hitting a standard torso Target at 1500 yards with a 5.5 to 22 Power which I think has 110 MOA elevation Total Travel if that helps .
