I am curious if there are any people out there that have shot the nosler Accubond long range 7MM 168 grain bullet with success? I shoot a Ruger M77 7mm with a stock barrel and a muzzle break. I have had success with the Hornady SST 162 grain bullet. I am looking for something with a little better Energy transfer upon impact. Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to give me.

They shot well for me in a couple of 7mm STW's but I was not really well pleased with the lack of expansion consistency. A lot of them at medium and shorter ranges were breaking up bad and blowing huge holes out the back side on shoulder shots on WT deer.

Accuracy was no problem.

You are the second person to say that. The other person shot two antelopes at 300ish yards and said the exit hole was huge.

Have you tried them at any distances? And what was the load you were using?

Yep, beyond about 400 particularly with lung/heart shots no problem, about a 1-2.5' dia exit at most vs one you can stick your fist through.

It's not quite the flying bomb the SST is at magnum velocities but it's close.
With my hunting I'm equally likely to shoot at 50yds as I am 750 or more so I just kept trying until I found a bullet that I could count on consistently opening at any range and never breaking up.

The Perigrine VRG3/4 and VLR series are meeting that requirement for me and it's amazing how much pressure it takes off of you when trying to decide to shoot/don't shoot at any range.

I gave them a good try and never could get them to shoot great in my 7 mag. I tried the 150s and 168s. Best group was about .75-1.0 moa. The regular AB 160 gr shoots great in my rifle.

162 eld for practice an 160 partitions 3000-3100fps for hunting large game. 139gr hornady interlock bout 2800-2900fps for white tail works great. Got 3, 7mm Rm and all like it I also load for 2 others, 1 browning, 2Rem, 1 ruger m77 and my custom.
74gr of h1000 an the 162gr set to 3.290in, fed 215 match, works in all. (this is over max in most books. propellant profiles book lists 75gr as max and it produces pressure marks)

your shooting a magnum at pretty high speeds I would say any type of interlock, partition or mono bullet should work. Im just not a bonded bullet guy........
