New player in the contoured barrel blank market: Faxon

That's a lot of words to say Faxon barrels are hit or miss

No, even the pencil barrels were accurate, they just began to walk because of the heat. In a hunting situation, they will put first rounds on target. That was the purpose behind the contour selection, sling it over the shoulder and walk and call.

I never said they weren't accurate, I said they walk. 19oz barrel 16" long doesn't have a lot of stiffness.

Have you checked out the 6mm Max?

Or just a barrel?
Very interesting and nice performance, in a already saturated market space. More, or less the same as 6x45AI, which runs at a higher pressure and gives equivalent performance with a few less grains of powder. Looks like they'll be producing ammo, so no fire-forming. I wish the brass would headspace in 223AI after necking down and trimming, but I'm sure that's not going to happen.
