Well, I pulled the trigger on a carbon barrel Christensen Arms Ridgeline in 300 RUM...Excited to get working on this as I hope to put together a true 1000 yard capable big game rifle...Should be able to get it adequately scope and keep it under 9 pounds - maybe 8.5 pounds. Plan on working with 190 LR Accubonds or possibly the 210 accubonds.

Anyone have any feed back on this rifle? Any load recommendations? How fast can a 26" barrel safely push the 190 grain loads?

I would shoot a heavier bullet than a 190 out of a RUM. Try the 230 Berger or the 215. You have the horsepower; might as well use it.

There are different ways to use the horse power. What twist is your barrel? Where and what are you hunting? What type of hunting do you do? How far do you intend to shoot?

190g bullet should get about 3200 without too much trouble. Work up.

Steve
