New Long Range Build w/ Pics

The new build is finished! Thanks for all of the input people gave in my other thread while I was planning the rifle. It took over 6 months to research all of my components and piece everything together before having my gunsmith put it all together. It turned out better than I could have hoped! Highly recommend the Terminator brake. This rifle with 230gr Bergers has less felt recoil than my 308 and is slightly more than my 6.5 Creedmoor.

I worked up some light loads to start with and it went 0.3" out of the gate. Can't wait to start working up some loads and stretching it out!

It should weigh in at 14lbs. This won't be my packing rifle, it's my long range steel and paper puncher. Although depending on the area I would absolutely hunt with it as well.

I just weighed the rifle tonight. With the bipod it came in at 16lbs. It's a bit of a beast but I'm ok with that.

That'll tame down that 300 recoil. I'm a fan of heavy rifles as long as they balance for what they are being used for. I'd rather a 12 pound rifle that balances perfectly than a 7 pound rifle that isn't balanced.
