The new Leupold 7-42X /56mm scope w/ a 34mm tube is quite impressive. Although it is designed primarily for the target crowd, it could make a wonderful long-range varmint scope. Mine featues the MOA-type reticle. Good shooting...James

I've got the 3X to 18X VX-6 with 30 mm tube. It is so clear that it is fun just to look through the scope and I'll bet the 42X is similar however, the 34 mm tube is a deal breaker for me as all my rifles wear 30 mm rings. That could change if Burris develops a 34 mm Signature Zee ring.
