Need a good hunting bullet for 30 06

Plain Jane 180 Hornady interlock with h4350 pushing the bullet. Push it around 2850fps.
This the best all around load for the 06. My MOD 70 could run to 2800+ easy but had a REM 700 that could not. Can't wait to try 175 ELD-X.

Sierra Game King 165 gr SBT. I've taken several antelope, whitetail deer, mule deer and elk with them out to just under 300 yds. They shoot sub MOA groups at 200 yds through my Browning Hunter A-Bolt. Love them! Usually single shot - but the need for multiple shots was due to shot placement on the first shot.

I like a 165 on deer, and nothing wrong about an Accubond. I grew up in East Tx, took me 20 yrs to get a 276yd shot! Up to that time, my average was 60yds or less! I used the factory 150 ptd CL in 30-06 a long time, and then Federal came out with the '06 (Red Box then, remember? 1977?) with the 165 Sierra GK. It was a great bullet on deer/hogs, didn't tear up game like the 150 did. My BIL used the 308/150 GK for years. I also had two friends who used the round nose factory ammo, Remington 180CLRN and the Remington 220 CLRN! ha. They both worked swell, and also didn't tear up those small deer. So, even at a solid 2800fps, I think the use of the Accubond will please your hunter! Have a ball pard!
