Need a good bipod for 308

I have a budget Savage 10 Tactical in 308. (fat 20" threaded bbl)

I cannot afford an Atlas but would like a solid bipod (that won't fold up under recoil) that attaches to the sling stud.

Harris "S" series will do great. I have a very similar rifle and use it on that, as well as others that are much heavier. Harris runs about $130.

I use a Harris 6"-9" without swivel feature but with the click stop leg feature. $77

It sits under a bull barrel 308 savage much like yours but in a XLR chassis. I'm not sure about the guns total weight, but it is heavy. I shoot prone, bench, even from hunting box blinds, and the Harris has never given me a problem.
