Mag box vertical movement

Currently in the process of building a rifle and just fitting everything together now. Noticed when putting the mag box in the stock, bottom metal, and action that the internal magazine box has about 1/4" to 1/8" of movement vertically. Enough movement that it will make noise if you shake the rifle as it comes into contact with the action and the bottom metal. Anyone else have this problem and if so what is the fix? Thanks

I know that with a factory rem 700 you want a bit of play in the mag box when everything is properly torqued. If its to tight it can cause accuracy problems. that being said, 1/8-1/4 sounds like a lot. and it making noise is no good. My .02
