I'm looking for a transporter in central Idaho for a backcountry elk hunt. My buddy and I drew a great bull tag, we did the same hunt 4 years back and killed a pair of large bulls pretty far into the backcounty. After packing 2 bulls out back to back over that steep country I would gladly pay for someone with pack animals to help haul one out for me this year if I could find someone willing. I'll be hunting for 9 days and my plan would be to contact the packer if I punch my tag and hopefully have him lined up to pack out the next morning.
Anyone ever done this or know someone in Central Idaho that does that kind of thing? I'm really looking forward to the hunt but the thought of possibly packing 2 more bulls over that mountain is daunting.
