What is the best way to lock the diopter in place on a scope. I considered hot glue on the bottom where it couldn't be seen, but there has to be a better way. Once they are set for me, I want them to stay there. Vortex viper hst 6-24s. Thanks

Come on man I have an hst so let's figure this outthe very best way to lock the diopter, is to get a scope with a locking diopter....
Hot glue should give before any part of the scope breaks if somebody cranks on it.If you glue it make sure someone doesn't try to adjust for their eye's and crank on it to hard. Davud
I'll call vortex, but I don't think the tension can be adjusted. I was thinking hot glue because it can be easily modified or removed. Caulking seems a bit tougher to removedoes it turn so easily that it moves out of adjustment frequently? Maybe it needs an adjustment to tension if thats available. How about silicone caulking vs hot glue? Mine that adjust don't move and all the rest have lock rings(Leupold, older Burris, Tasco...)
