i know this isn't long range, but if one wanted to reconfigure a marlin 1894 or winchester 1892 to .41 mag, what would be the better platform to begin with? .357, or .44? or are they the same internally besides the bolt/face? thanx for all knowledge!

In the past, Marlin made some 1894's chambered in 41Mag. I would suggest you try to find one of them for sale. They are kind of uncommon but do come up for sale now and then.

i knew about the models they made like that for a while, i'm searching for an alternative if i cannot findone. plus i'd like to do the proj. my self if i can. thanx tho
