Leica LRF800 Effective Range?

Just got an LRF 800 for less than $250 which was my budget max for this year. The longest area I have to practice and hunt is about 600 yards.

From your experience, what distance have you ranged rocks, trees and fur bearing critters with an LRF800?

I'll also share what I find out in the next week or so as well. I'm going to use some GPS and Google maps to confirm my findings where possible.

I have a Leica 900 and have got ranges over 900 yds to bushes and rocks. It is rare that it won't give a range for something that is within 900 yds.
Rain, mist snow and ranging into the setting sun cause it probs, but that is to be expected.
