Myth busters did an episode on bullets fired up, IIRC they used pistol rounds but it was more based on if a falling bullet would be lethal. I did some fast and loose math and rifle rounds wouldn't make it either.

I think you have to hit 62 miles (above sea level) of altitude to make it to outer space. Don't think a rifle has that range, except maybe the 6.5 CM.
You would have to be very careful, you don't want to shoot down the International Space Station.
