Would be interested to see what a heavy .308 (212 to 230gr) with this design does in a 300PRC.

Qualitatively, I would think the increase in damage can be seen by comparing short and long distance with the same bullet and cartridge and the difference between .308 Win and 300 Win Mag at short distance with the same bullet.
According to Steve it is exactly the same as all of the Hammers and will perform the same, three petals and a slug so there will be no more damage

The Absolute Hammers are the same construction as the previous Hammers. We don't have any issues with our bullets coming undone with higher impact vel. We have tried to destroy a bullet and could not. We impacted a 30 cal at 4200 fps. It retained the same weight as low vel, just squished more.
I'm shooting the 131 gr in my 7 RUM at 3700fps. I can't imagine what one of the Absolute bullets of similar wt will do. This is getting scary! Gonna find out when they come out!

I suppose my 22-250 will shoot 50s 5000 FPS and my 7wsm 180s @ 3500? The kool aid is strong with this one
My numbers are real I'll assure you and there's a limit to everything but this bullet is a game changer
My numbers are also real,, and with rhe regular 131 Hammer Hunter and 103+ grs of N570. It will be interesting to test the new Absolute Hammers. Like I said. This is getting a little scary!

So if the various Hammer bullets are insensitive to seating depth [ala the Barnes] does one seat them until the loaded round just fits in the magazine?
