In need of help deciding on my next rifle scope

I am putting together a mountain hunting rifle and need help deciding on what rifle scope to put on it. The rifle is an Alamo Precision Rifle chambered in 7 PRC. The maximum distance I expect to shoot an animal is around 800 yards. I am looking for a lightweight rifle scope that is easy to dial for those long shots. I am currently looking at the Leupold VX-6HD 3-18 x 44, Swarovski Z5 5-25 x 52 P BT, and Swarovski Z5 3.5-18 x 44 P BT. I am also open to any other suggestions on different scopes and looking for the pros and cons of any of the scopes.

The specifications I would like to fit in are, Weight - around 25 oz but preferably less, Max zoom 15 or higher, first or second focal plane doesn't really matter, reticle style also not all that picky but prefer a less busy reticle sort of like a duplex or Leupold T-moa. I prefer to use MOA.

If you want to dump a bunch of $ for some reason then got that route, if you want a great tracking very good optics, repeatability then go ck out the 'Arken 6-24 FFP in mils, I have 4 and have never had a issue with anyone, tough, great scopes, mine shoots out of the 6.5 C 1.4" groups at 400, but they all do, the 7mmx08, the 6.5 PRC and the 308, partner has some $ prices one that starts with a Le, ---- out of my his gun with my scope, the same, his scope, 6" So there you go, settable zero also

For that purpose, where tracking, rtz, and zero retention are of paramount importance, i would look at Trijicon tenmile 3-18, nightforce nx8 4-32 or atacr 4-16, swfa 3-9, 3-15, or 5-20, or the minox zp5.

Be prepared to be overwhelmed. Budget range? SFP or FFP? MOA or mils? Max magnification? Weight restriction? Illuminated or non-illuminated? Reticle preference? These are just considerations to narrow down the recommendations/selection process and help you decide. Good luck!

Same boat here. Exact same gun, weight is my main concern but also functional and dependable. I don't think you can beat the vx6 3-18 44mm

I should add I really like the Swarovski but the custom turret just I'm unsure about. it's lighter than the leupold.

I have the vx6 and vx5. My 6 is a 3-18x50 it has been one of the best scopes I've owned. No regrets. Now, I'm a huge swaro fan and would love to play with one. My guess is the glass is a little better but it's too subjective to say outright. It's about the coatings. I know my vx6 was overall better than my nightforce, which was a solid scope. In the bino world I had the EL 10x50 and they were amazingly good. I have Leica's 3200's now and they good, just not swaro good.

I've gone down this road and built a Maverick Light last year which is right at 6 pounds with a goal of an 8 pound rig. My plans were to build a light rig but not ultra-light as I'm not compromising on glass. It's wearing a 5-25 Mk 5 and is just over 8 pounds.

I don't know much about the Swarovski line other than incredible glass but the VX6-HD 3-18 is a great option. I've had one and no complaints.

I don't have the rifle yet think it's 3 or so months from being done but they said maybe 6 pounds finished so for a total rifle weight I would like to say around that 8 mark possibly 9 since I will be adding a suppressor to it. For budget sake just say isn't one now If that means the best scope is a little more than I can afford right now that just means having to save up which isn't the end of the world.
