I have a pair of 1988 Swaro 8x30 something. Would not sell them for $1500 though.I would try and find a used pair of Swarovski. I have several but 10-42 I have found to be the best for me. There not to heavy and have excellent light gathering, and 10 power really gives you more at longer distance. I had a pair of 12/50 they were to heavy. I bought my first pair new 25 years ago. Look on Craigslist KSL or one of the web sites long range, monster muley, 24 hour campfire. You can get into a pair for $900-$1500. Get the serial number and call Swarovski they track everything to make sure there not stolen. $35 shipping & insurance they will go completely through them and send them back. I have had excellent service with them. They will last a lifetime and serve you well. Any questions pm me.
How could I get by with one? I use 15X for rock chuck and long range and 7X for normal hunting.
