Help with scope mounts

I have just become the proud owner of a savage 12 in 300wsm, the rear Leupold base I got with the gun extends into the ejection port and when I try to eject a round they hang up and fall back into the mag. Does anyone know of another manufacture of bases that this is not a problem?

What type of rings are you using? Turn in, QD, Weaver...
If its weaver you need, ive got a set you can have, if blued finish doesn't bother you.

turn in, Leupold 2 piece. I have looked at their 1 piece but it also hangs over the port.

They're all going to hang over the port unless you go w/the weaver or warne bases. I can't say that I've ever had any trouble with the ejection of a case though.

Flip the rear base 180deg and have it hang over the bolt. Solves the ejection problem but may need a bit of tweaking for bolt baffle to clear. Yes, ugly...

You could of course just go with reg. Weaver bases and Burris rings.
