Recently was passed down an older model McMillan this one takes two front Rem700 bases? Have always like the cleaner look of a one piece base but think I am out of luck on this. So with needing to buy two sets to get the two fronts can you guys recommend any bases and rings "little cheaper route" or any combo bases/rings that you guys use. Thanks

You can get Weaver bases as singles. That way you don't have to purchase two sets. Burris Zee rings fit these bases. Maybe other rings do also. Another way to go is Millett. They are similar to Weaver and they make rings to fit their bases.

Haven't had any experience with Z rings are they decent? I don't mind spending the extra money if say something like DNZ one pieces are of better quality. Would say $150 or so would be Max. Thanks for reply

If you don't mind spending the money you can get Burris Signature Zee rings. They have the plastic inserts which love your scope and never mar it. They hold in a .300 Weatherby and a .375 wildcat pushing a 300 grainer to 3,000 feet per second.

I just don't understand. Can you send a picture. If you use these I recommend using alignment bars and lapping.
