Hello everyone, I am new to the forum. Last year, I purchased a new RemArms 700 in 7mm rem mag on sale from MidwayUSA to build my stw. I stripped the action and installed a short chambered barrel from Shaw.

Here are the specs:
RemArms 700 action
Shaw Remington Magnum contour 7mm STW 26" 1-8
HS Precision stock, bedded
Triggertech primary trigger
Leupold bases
Vortex Pro rings
Arken EPL 4 4-16

I built this rifle to use Hammer Bullets, specifically the 172gr Absolute Hammers. Since then, I have used many different types of bullets, and here are my results.

The 160gr Shock Hammers are by far my favorite because they produce almost 4000 ft/lbs of muzzle energy, just barely enough for rock chucks ;).

5 shots on the left are the 140gr AH and the 5 on the right are factory 160gr Nosler Accubonds.

Try a bit more neck tension on the hammers or use a lee FCD to incrementally crimp 1/8 turn at a time and those hammer groups will tighten up.
All great groups there but hammers like a bit more neck tension
