Just looking to see if anyone has tried the 177 hammer hunters in a 9 twist STW yet? I shoot them in my 8 twist but brother in law has a 9 twist. Any thoughts?

What cartridge are you using? I have a 7-300win mag that has a 1-8" twist barrel that I'm thinking about trying them in.

7mm stw. I have an 8 twist that shoots them really well my brother in law has a 9 twist 7 stw just wandering if anyone tried them yet with a 9 twist? Not sure if they will stabilize with that.

That's for sure! Maybe I'll load a few and step out in the pasture and see what happens.

Brian Litz has the 177 hammer listed as only having a g7 BC of .237 where the 180 Berger hybrid has a.345. Since the 180gr hybrid will fully stabilize in a 1-9" I don't see why the hammer wouldn't.
