H870 and 264 Win Mag Help

Guys I scored on 3 unopened cans of H870 and was wondering does any one have any load data with this using 140grn bullets. Thanks!

Hodgdon #26 manual says 73.0 grain at 3163 fps with 54,200 cup pressure. They don't show a start load with this powder, so it's the usual start lower and work up.

Steves reloading pages say 65.2gr to 78.3gr of H870. I personally had better results from W760.

H870 usually shoots great in the 264 WM and usually needs a compressed load. If the H870 does not work for you get you some Retumbo. I makes my 264 smoke and is really accurate. 130 Accubonds 3350 fps from 27 3/4" barrel.

RT H870 shot great on yesterday with 74grns will verify and possibly step on it a little and call it quits.....

I used it for years in my 264 Winny and my 7 mm Remmy with the heaviest bullets and always like it and it was CHEAP
