Having but two sources, one suggesting starting out a 98 gr and the other stating that he loads 102 gr in his 338 RUM, I started at 98 gr. Next, and in order, 100, 101, 101.5, 102, all manually (no PM or trickler, just MProve digital scale), three loads in each weight. I tried three different shells and learned that, at least the way I was doing it, I couldn't get the 300 Berger within .020 of seating depth/COL. Even the 98 gr was a compressed load. I emptied the shells and am now back to the board on this search.

I've also US869 and Retumbo, but no recipe for those either. I'd sure appreciate your input!
