I bought a can of H414 to try in my 300 WSM. I loaded up some rounds with 208gr A-Max bullets in .3gr increments to try that ladder test thing.

Anyone use H414 in thier 300 WSM, if so does it work out for you?

H-414 is the best powder I have used in the 300 wsm with the 150 grain bullet. I have pushed it well over 3400 fps. My best accuracy load is around 3380 fps. Never tried it with heavy bullets. This powder may be to fast for best results with heavy bullets. Something around re-19 burn rate may work well for the heavy bullets.

I am going to give it a try today. The winds are light the sun is out. Hopefully the range isnt to busy, I will post some pictures of my results.

I want to try that Hybrid HV100 and H4350 in it but cant seem to put my hands on a pound.

H 414 and W 760 Both work well in 300 WSM You May want To Give W780 Suprime a Try It Works very Well with the Heavey Pills Hope This Helps DD

I have used it in my son in laws and a 300 saum got the best vel. and accuracy with h-414. I feel that size case and bullet deph it is the best choice.

I am going to have to do it again at 300 plus yards. I shot it at 200 yards and nothing really jumped out at me.

I dont have a chrono so no idea on velocities.

Total group size is around 3"
