I had loaded 130gr Barnes running at 3075fps. The rifle was a bit snapping and he got scared. refused to shoot. So I started again with 22 Rimfire then 22 Magnum then 22 Hornet. Then I jumped to a gun I've used for starter hunters several times. A Model 70 Featherweight in 257 Roberts with 87gr pills. Success. He is back shooting and more confident. Will leave the Henry until next year. 257 a little less snappy. Thanks.
