For properly fitted stress free pillar bed from a reputable smith anywhere from $200 - $300. I charge $250. This is full prep of the stock, bore for pillars, stress free pillar bed using Devcon steel and a 100% free floated barrel all the way back to the recoil lug.

My gunsmith charges $150 for a stress free fully floated to the lug bed job. He prefers acra glass.

Acra glass is actually better.The other stuff will break done in 3 to 5 yrs.That is unless its painted over.You can call the guys at Devcon I believed a guy I know talked to a enginer about it.They said they could make it better but in the long run would end up selling less.

I absolutely agree!

Not sure if my gunsmith gave me a discount or a break but he only charged me $50 for bedding my XLR element chassis when he built my .30 Lara. gun)
