It is my understanding that they use 1 in 10" for the Edge, which is in that velocity range.

Yep, 1-10 is correct for the 300 gr SMK at pretty much any velocity over 2500 fps.

what if you were running at or a bit under 2500 fps. say with somthing like the 338 WSM that you were mentioning on another post, just curious. Kirby, I'm still going to do somthing but probably after the holidays. I liked the sound of that 338 WSM for the light weight rifle we have been talking about. just don't know if it has a 'nuff' for what I want to do with it! I'll send you an e-mail shortly.

I would think a 1-10 would work if you were anywhere near 2500 fps and I would think a WSM would get you pretty close to that dependin on barrel length used.
That said, just to make sure in all conditions, it would not hurt at thing to go with a 1-9 twist if your rifle will be working in the 2200-2500 fps range. Even if its a bit more then needed, it will not effect accuracy any.
