I just got my 3 port muzzle break on my 300wsm rem 700. The gun is pretty much factory with a light trigger and now the break. I've only shot it to 350 yards until yesterday. I was shooting with my Gunsmith we dumped some pumpkins off at 600 yards because I've never used the turrets on my millet scope. After re zeroing at 100, I typed the info on my phone it said adjust for 8.85 MOA for the first shot hit the stem so I backed off 2 clicks and smacked it the next 4 shots. Roughly a 4inch group at 600 yards!!

Im shooting 185bergers but my box is almost empty and im thinking about switching to 210vld's? Does anyone have an opinion how they would shoot out of my gun?

I am a huge fan of the 210 VLD's and they should be great in your rifle. But don't overlook the new 215 Hybrid. They shoot awesome in my 10 twist 300 win. to waaaaaay out there.

Good shooting by the way... I can tell you are having fun!!

Oh boy! It's a blast!!! With this new break it takes about 85% of kick out of my gun. I was actually able to get back on the target after the shot and see the last little bit of air disturbance and impact threw my scope!.
Will the 210's be alright with my short magazine box? I will have to have a pretty big jump in order for it to work.. also will they be going too slow for the bullet to perform? With the 185 im just shy of 3000 fps. I would guess the 210 would be around 2800 ballpark at the muzzle.

As for the hybrids I would like to try them but I can't find them on bergers websight even. Can someone help me with a link?

I can't say for sure about you mag box and throat length.

As for the long jump and velocity the Hybrids will be more inclined to work with the jump. That said I have jumped 210 VLD's close to .200" in a Weatherby with free bore and had good accuracy. I think the 215's will be faster than the 210's too. They are in my rifle and I attribute it to the 215's shorter bearing surface. Don't even worry about expansion at low velocities. Either will do fine to well past the effective range of a 300 win or WSM.

The 215 Hybrids are listed under Target bullets. Last I knew Bruno's Shooter Supply had them in stock too. I just got 6 boxes from them yesterday.
